Three suspects allegedly involved in the kidnap and k!lling of 33-year-old Nana Yaw Kyere, who reportedly went missing on 22 September, 2026, have been arrested by the Ghana Police Service.
The suspects, Philip Dzifa Kofi, Sarah Osei Adams and Josiah Obodai, were arrested following investigations by the Missing Persons Unit of the Ghana Police Service.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim left his residence at Kokomlemle in Accra on 19 September, 2026 in his Civic vehicle and did not return.
Investigations further revealed, that the victim was lured to suspect Phillip Tefe's residence at Teshie Agbleza by suspect Sarah Osei Adams
Both suspects later confessed to their involvement, and indicated that suspect Philip Tefe attacked the victim during a confrontation and hit him with a metallic object, causing him to sustain injuries. The victim was then moved to another room where he was left unattended to and later died.
Investigations further established that the victim's body was conveyed in a "Kia Morning" vehicle to a location near the Motorway on 20 September, 2026, where it was dumped in a bush and reportedly set ablaze. The partially burnt body was discovered at Community 18 on 21 September, 2026.
The victims biological mother and an uncle identified the body at the the Police Hospital Morgue on 24 September, 2026.
The Police have also retrieved the victims iPhone 12, which suspect Philip Tefe allegedly sold for GH¢100, to Sunday Omeje, who has been cautioned and detained for dishonestly receiving the phone.
Further investigations led to the arrest of suspect Josiah Obodai, who is being investigated in connection with the disposal of the body. His father's "Kia Morning" vehicle which is believed to have been used to convey the body has been impounded.
