President Mahama requests clemency for the affected radio stations shutdown by NCA



President Mahama has requested the Minister for Communications,Digital Technology and Innovations to liaise with National Communications Authority to immediately restore the broadcast of 64 radio stations affected by the regulator's action. 

This was according to a letter signed and released by Hon.Felix Kwakye Ofosu (MP,Minister of Government Communications and Spokesperson to the President) .

The letter stated that,the President believes that regulatory compliance must take into account the need to uphold and enhance media freedom and that requiring radio stations to shutdown while waiting the regularization of their authorization could limit the space for expressing such freedoms.
