Second lady, H.E Hajia Samira Bawumia visits Abura Asebu Kwamankese Constituency

Samira Bawumia, Second Lady of Ghana has reiterated government's efforts in ensuring continuous development in the country.

Delivery her speech at a mammoth durbar on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Abura Dunkwa in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese district of the Central Region, the second lady emphasized that, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is full of great vision, empathy, humility, compassion, knowledge and great qualities to continue the great policies and programmes started by Nana Addo Danquah Akuffu-Addo to develop the country.

''I am passionate about the welfare of women and will do whatever I could to help improve the welfare of women in the constituency,'' the Second Lady announced amid thunderous applause from party supporters.



Samira Bawumia appealed humbly to the people to vote massively for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the NPP PC for the constituency, Mr. Eric Kobina Nyanteh Etudur who hails from Abura Dunkwa on December 7, 2024.

''I'm very aware of the problems in this constituency, Hon Elvis Donkoh did well in solving some of them and together with Etudur we will work hard to solve them, I have also seen more youth and free SHS beneficiaries here, Dr Bawumia says he will continue with the good works of the President H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akuffu-Addo by creating one million jobs in ICT,'' she said.

The Second Lady also reechoed the need to have at least a factory in every constituency and promised the constituents that she will make sure a factory is established in addition to the cassava factory Mr Nyanteh Etudur is planning to establish to create jobs especially for women.




Speaking at the durbar, the NPP parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Mr. Eric Kobina Nyanteh popularly called Etudur was delighted to have the Second Lady in the constituency and pleaded with the constituents to vote massively for him and the NPP because he has business ideas to help develop the constituency. He assured the people that he will provide brand new Solar system to all CHPS compounds in the district before elections.

''I have used my own money to reshape roads as parliamentary candidate in the district which has never happened before'' he said.



Nananom thanked the Second Lady for such a historic visit to the district and appealed to her talk to her husband to help with the construction of roads in the district which are in their bad state and also create job opportunities for the youth when he is voted for by the good people of Ghana in December 7 elections.

The clergy prayed fervently for the Second Lady, NPP and the parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Mr. Nyanteh.  

The Second Lady exchanged pleasantries with the teeming crowd bringing to an end her historic visit to Abura Asebu Kwamankese constituency.



Present at the durbar were Hon. Justina Marigold Assan(Central Regional minister),Hon Willy-Evans Obiri Awuah (DCE, Abura Asebu Kwamankese), NPP Central Regional and A.A.K Constituency Executives, NPP women's wings, clergy,  chiefs and elders of Abura, Asebu and Kwamankese traditional areas, Imams, people from diverse geographical locations and multicultural backgrounds
