The presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has said that, he will continue in supporting initiatives that empower traditional leaders and promote community development.
He made this statement when he stopped by the Jakpa Palace in Damango to check on the progress of work on the new meeting area and residential palace he is constructing for the Overlord of the Gonja Traditional Area.
The former president said, he has a strong belief that the chieftaincy institution plays a pivotal role in the development of our communities and therefore he will continue to support their commitment to peace, unity and progress.
